What began over time with two musicians serving students through informal private guitar and piano lessons within St. Paul’s congregation was formally established for the community in 2009 as St. Paul’s Music Conservatory (SPMC). Since that time, SPMC has grown to serve families of our community and beyond. Operated within our professionally designed studios at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs, IA in association with David’s Harp: A Center for Musical Development, SPMC currently offers lessons in piano, organ, guitar, violin, viola, woodwinds, and trumpet. Seeking to serving learners of all ages, SPMC added early childhood music classes in 2023 for infants through 7-year-olds through its First Steps program. SPMC also deploys students and faculty to area care centers and community events as opportunities arise. Our goal is to nurture students in the joy of life-long music making that will enrich their lives and bless others.
