Allison Storey
Ali is a life-long Council Bluffs resident and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was blessed to receive both voice and piano lessons from St. Paul’s Music Conservatory and to have cultivated a deep love for music. She currently is the music teacher at St. Paul's Lutheran Early Childhood Center, a volunteer music teacher at St. Paul's Christ Academy, and a full-time student at UNO. After receiving her certification in First Steps in Music in June of 2023, a curriculum researched and developed by Dr. John M. Feierabend, she began implementing this curriculum at St. Paul's Lutheran Early Childhood Center. In order to instill a lifelong love of music for our little ones, she believes it is crucial to have a solid musical foundation at a young age. First Steps in Music is a first step in this process. Students in her classes learn to be tuneful, beautiful, and artful through an 8-step musical workout, supplemented by rich folk repertoire and a focus on Lutheran hymnody. Ali currently offer classes to the community in 12-week sessions on Saturday mornings. Learn more about her current offerings here. Ali writes, “We are blessed to receive the gift of music, and I am grateful to be surrounded by the joy of music every day!”
