Jonathan Schulz

Jonathan Schulz has lived a life permeated by music. He has studied both the piano and the violin since childhood and served as a church and concert organist for the last six years. Jonathan graduated from Hillsdale College in 2024 with a BA in History, and, during his time at Hillsdale, he participated in the college's organ, violin, and harpsichord programs. During college, he also played violin in the Hillsdale College Symphony Orchestra, ultimately sitting as associate principal for the second violin section. Over the next few years, Jonathan is looking forward to sharing the wealth of insights he has learned from and about music with a new generation of music students through violin, piano, and organ lessons—for music is one of the most profoundly beautiful artifacts of human history, and the continuation of its joyous life depends on the cultivation of fresh musical skill in every generation. Through music education, Jonathan hopes to encourage a deep love for music and musical instruments in his piano, violin, and organ students, a love which will ultimately grow to produce artistic skill and excellence that glorifies God and fills the lives of both music students and their hearers with joy.
